Who Is Jesus Christ?
Jesus is the Son of God and Son of Man — fully God, fully human, crucified and risen for our salvation.

John 1:1–14
John's Gospel opens by identifying Jesus as the eternal Word who was with God and who was God, then became flesh and dwelt among us.
The identity of Jesus Christ is the most important question in the world. Every religion respects Him at some level. Christianity worships Him.
The Eternal Word Became Flesh
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1, 14). Jesus is not a created being. He is the eternal Son who took on human nature for our salvation.
Fully God, Fully Human
The apostle Paul wrote that in Christ “all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9). Yet He was also tired, hungry, and grieved. He is one Person in two natures — the God-man.
The One Mediator
Because He is both God and man, He alone is qualified to reconcile us to God (1 Timothy 2:5). No other name has been given by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
What this does not mean
Jesus is not merely a moral teacher, a prophet, an avatar, or a symbol. Scripture presents Him as the eternal Son of God incarnate — the only mediator between God and humanity.
Application
Meeting Jesus begins with reading His words. Try one Gospel — Mark is short and vivid — and ask, 'Who does this Man claim to be?'
